Alyssa's Autism Acceptance Project

(The AAA Project)

The AAA Project started after Alyssa's experience as the 2015 Little Telethon Star for the Channel 7 Perth Telethon.  During her time on Telethon, Alyssa was contacted by many autistic children asking her to be their friend, as they didn't have any friends of their own at their school.  This really upset Alyssa and made her want to help.  She thought it would be a good idea to travel to schools to meet and empower other kids on the spectrum and to educate non-autistic kids about the autism spectrum.

Over the last few years, Alyssa, along with her Mum, Dad and little brother Lachlan (who are all on the autism spectrum too) have travelled to schools and local community groups all over Western Australia.   The whole family just want all kids to grow up in respectful and accepting communities.

The AAA Project also run 'Brick Time' which is an after school Lego club for kids of all abilities.   Brick Time Buddies meet once a week to hang out together while building Lego and playing games in a safe and friendly environment.

Alyssa also wants everyone to know that Autistic Kids Rock!! She could be coming to your school soon!
